Clairemont is a community within the city of San Diego and home to a population of 82,000 residents. Residents enjoy the community’s central location within San Diego city and it’s convenient access to the multiple freeways and highways that run throughout the county. The Clairemont area is bordered to the east by Interstate 805, by Interstate 5 to the west, State Route 52 to the North and the community of Linda Vista to the south. It’s subdivided into the neighborhoods of North Clairemont, Bay Ho, Clairemont Mesa East, Clairemont Mesa West and Bay Park.
Many of the community’s neighborhoods have views of Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean to the west and Fortuna Mountain and Cowles Mount to the east. Clairemont’s main geographical characteristics include mesas, canyons and streams, with residential development predominantly found on and around the community’s various mesas.
Several main attractions include Tecolote Canyon Natural Park, Marian Bear Memorial Park, Tecolote Golf Course and the YMCA’s Krause Family Skate and Bike Park.
